Cardi B and JT of the City Girls traded disses on Twitter last night (October 3rd) and it all started with the success of rapper GloRilla's single “Tomorrow 2” featuring Cardi.
After Cardi congratulated Glo on their record debuting at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, a Twitter user mentioned Nicki Minaj's Queen Mix of “Super Freaky Girl,” which features JT. The Twitter user said, “JT Akbar, BIA & Katie bandz after seeing Glorilla get a top 10 hit without doing all the d*ck riding and extra sh*t.”
JT then replied, “im not like that at alllll. I been doing remixes & never got credited ON A CHART BUT they get sung word for word and help push the original songs as intended unlike y’all well I can’t even say y’all cause you don’t rap, you TWEET! Congratulations Glo & stream FNF remix AND QUEENMIX.”
JT was called out by a fan for not mentioning Cardi in the tweet although Cardi is also on the song. To this, JT responded, “NAH actually the tweet was too long! PLUS Cardi Been having top 10’s I been congratulating her for years this is GLO first one, I’ve been ignoring y’all but y’all are hella annoying, move round & get off my D*CK thank YOU!”
Cardi went on to tweet, “Lapdog.” Shortly after, JT wrote, “I hope you don’t think you no BULLY!!! Weiner dog.
Shortly after, Cardi said, “Go fetch.”
After the subliminal tweets, JT made it clear that she was talking to Cardi, writing, “Cardi you go fetch a real talent! We DM’ing why you come back here to put on a show for these KIDS?”
Cardi followed up and said, “So wait, me and you talking in the DM woman to woman, but YOU take it to your timeline and throw shots calling me a bully and a wiener. Why you playing dumb? And YOU talking about a talent?! haaaaa! You forgot P tried to put me on wit your writer?”
Cardi added, “Matter fact, I’m not even doing this on the timeline! It’s becoming real repetitive for doggy treats. We already addressing it in the DM’s. GOODBYE YALL.”
The tweets continued, with JT writing, “No you wanted our writing!!! For our hooks for our sound cause you clearly have none! Ask ANY writer! I write my OWN sh*t!!! You know this.”
Cardi then called JT out for failing to respond to her DM although she continued mentioning their issues on her Twitter timeline.
The two ultimately ended the back and forth.
Yung Miami, the other member of the City Girls duo, appeared to have caught the back and forth after it was over and laughed via Twitter.
