Cardi B threatened to take legal action against the LAPD for accusing her of drug trafficking — but she may have been spinning a tall tale. In an Instagram Live session, the rapper described a traffic stop that she believes was prompted by a tip to the police.
She stated, "They thought I was trafficking fentanyl. And they thought I had a gun in my car." Cardi further explained that the encounter resulted in her being held outside for hours and even being made to get "butt naked." She believes that someone she considers an "opp" may be responsible for the incident, stating, "They really trying to ruin my life."
But the LAPD insisted that “we don’t have any record of any traffic stop” and a law enforcement source told TMZ that if something this dramatic had really happened, there would be a record of it.
