Tory Lanez's Sentencing Delayed Again

Tory Lanez's sentencing in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case has been delayed once again.   According to NBC News, a sentencing hearing was initially on schedule Monday, but will occur at a later date due to Lanez’s motion for the new trial.

In court on Monday (April 10th), Lanez's defense said they wanted to raise new issues and another court date was scheduled for next week.

Lanez was convicted in December of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, discharging a firearm with gross negligence and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.

He faces a maximum sentence of 22 years and eight months in prison if given the maximum sentence on each charge, served consecutively. He could also be deported to Canada following time served.
