Kanye West was a topic of conversation on Monday (October 3rd) after wearing a shirt that had the words “White Lives Matter” written on the back during his YZY Season 9 fashion show for Paris Fashion week.
A livestream of the show was able to be viewed on Kanye's official YouTube page and featured models wearing some of the pieces in Kanye's latest collection.
Conservative political pundit Candice Owens was also seen wearing the shirt while Lauryn Hill's daughter, Selah Marley, was one of Ye's models and wore the shirt as well.
Kanye ultimately received backlash from his WLM shirt from Boosie BadAzz, among others.
Boosie tweeted, “@kanyewest After all we been through as a race you put this disrespectful sh*t on!! U gives no f**ks about how Blacks have died n suffered to the hands of the white man. N u say Bush don’t like Black people..really 'n***a.'”
