Travis Scott is being sued for $2 billion over the Astroworld tragedy. According to TMZ, an attorney representing more than 200 alleged victims of the festival has filed a $2 billion lawsuit against the rapper, as well as Drake, Live Nation, and NRG Park. The suit has alleged that fans were “incited into a frenzy” during Travis’ performance, which triggered a crowd surge toward the main stage, which crushed festivalgoers. The filing, which was made on behalf of 280 plaintiffs, blames organizers for not taking Astroworld safety concerns from 2019 into account when planning this year’s version.
At least 140 lawsuits have been filed after the November 5th tragedy, which left 10 people dead and more than 300 injured.
